SYMBIOSIS (CYANOTYPE)
"SYMBIOSIS"
original cyanotype, hand-crafted using a 19th-century photographic process
this limited edition series of 35 cyanotype photographs explores the quiet intimacy between human presence and the natural world.
Created from 35mm film photographs, with portraits using double exposures, each image layers figures, flowers, moons, shadows, and landscapes into a single breathing surface. Faces dissolve into petals, branches echo veins, light becomes both skin and sky. The cyanotype process deepens these encounters, bathing them in luminous blues that feel at once nocturnal, tender, and timeless.
Symbiosis is not about separation but entanglement: the way bodies borrow shapes from nature, and nature absorbs memory, emotion, and gaze.
Fleeting, poetic, and deeply connected.

**The cyanotype process is a photographic printing technique that produces blue-toned prints. It was first developed in the 19th century by Sir John Herschel, an English scientist, and is known for its distinct cyan-blue coloration.
